Though the scenery is beautiful in West Rockhill Township, the rocky land and swampy areas have reduced the ability to develop the area.

Recently some developers have tried to build in West Rockhill with its beautiful scenery. However, there are difficulties with building due to the amount of water in the ground in this area. Passing what is called a perc test often causes problems to builders and potential home owners.
