| During 2001 lead paint was removed from the Uhlertown - Frenchtown Bridge. | On weekdays, the bridge was closed to traffic, but it was open on weekends. These photos were taken on the weekend. | |

| Rigging was placed on the outside of the bridge for workers to remove the paint. | The paint was removed by sandblasting and contained by large tarps (not shown in these pictures) so that the lead would not pollute the river below. |
