Chris Nicolosi creates signs at Impact Signs and also owns the business. You do not need to go to college for this job; you just have to get your GED or your high school diploma. Experience with color and design and/or computer skills would be desired for a sign designer. Painting skills are also helpful.

A normal work week would be 40 hours. This job is not too hard once you get the hang of it. Sign designers work on machines and computers doing the graphic designs. The carved signs take bit of experience, but one can learn on the job.
