BUILDINGS & ARTIFACTS

The building structures and the artifacts on the property of Perkasie Park give us hints to the past. Though much of Perkasie Park looks like it did 100 years ago, some structures such as the dining hall have been reconstructed. Other objects no longer in use remain on the property as artifacts - objects left behind by man.

The two story dormitory and dining hall building stood until recently on the grounds of Perkasie Park. The dining hall was put on the Bucks County Conservancy list of historic buildings in 1995.    When the dining hall roof collapsed in 1996 due to the weight of snow; it was demolished in 1996. The above one story structure eventually replaced it in 2000.

The library as it stands today is open weekly for park residents.    The hand water pump located near Ninth street is protected by a roof as it was many years ago.

This old pump was used for supplying water to the park. It is not used anymore because Perkasie Park is now connected to the Perkasie Borough water supply.    Only the foundation wall and wooden platform remain of the former water tower on the north edge of the Perkasie Park property (near the trolley line).
