This is the grave of a man who was in the Revolutionary War. He was probably a soldier who got shot in battle or died of an illness that went around army camps back then. Possible illnesses that could have caused his death are typhus, dysentery, or pneumonia. Or, he may have died fighting. He could have lived through the war and died later in his lifetime. Gravestones can only tell so much about a person.
