OLD ORGAN and SOUND SYSTEM The music used on the original carousel, was supplied by a band organ playing punched cards fan folded to resemble a book. The organ was powered by the same steam engine that powered the carousel. The Perkasie Historical Society substituted a tape player for the record player. In 1986 additional speakers, a new cassette player, new amplifier, and a microphone for announcements was added. |
