This view of the renovated Perkasie Carousel shows the new canopy( green and yellow) and a view of the suspension system which holds up the carousel on a series of rods from a center post.

The old 78 rpm record player used to be housed in this decorated enclosure.

 

Here is a picture of a horse at the Perkasie Carousel decorated with floral patterns. These horses were all painted by local artists that choose original designs for the horses.

 

The colors that were used to repaint the horses were the same as the original colors. The original decorative designs for the horses were much simpler than the new paint schemes.

 

Here is a picture of the new organ that plays a variety of instruments from using punched paper music rolls (like a player piano).

This is a group of horses that are part of the carousel. As you can see all of the horses have a very detailed paint job in festive colors.

Three circles of horses are found on the carousel. As the horses move up and down they appear to be jumping forward.
