Crayfish look like small lobsters. They have a head joined to a mid-section. Crayfish have a segmented body. They have four pairs of legs and one pair of claws in the front. The crayfish has it's skeleton in the outside so it has limited growth. Crayfish molt their skin when they are growing and they grow a new one in a couple of days. When the crayfish molts it's vulnerable to prey so they hide under rocks and other objects. Crayfish feed on dead plant material, live snails, and other macroinvertebrates.
