Always assume power lines are live whether
they are on utility poles or entering a home.
Never touch a power line. Momentary contact
can injure and kill people.
Never stand on ladders near power lines.
Keep all equipment away from power lines.
Do not climb trees near power lines.
In Pennsylvania it is required by law to
call 1-800-242-1776 three working days before digging. The Pennsylvania
One-Call system locates gas, electrical and telephone lines.
The utilities will then mark out the underground systems. When
planting a tree, digging a foundation for a house, or replacing
a sewer line, digging is a safety concern.
