USE OF THE PUMP WATER

The pump is used in a cooling system at an area power plant. There is a process through which water is taken and transferred to the power plant. The power plant then takes the water which has been pumped from the Delaware and through the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek and uses it in a cooling system at the nuclear power plant. From there electricity is sent out from the plant.

Here are some more photos of the power plant and the power lines that carry the electricity.

This is the power plant, where the water from the Delaware River is used in a cooling system.

This is a photo of the power lines through which electricity flows from the power plant.

This is a picture of a few houses with the Limerick power plant behind it. These homes, like many in Montgomery County, receive electricity which was produced in the power plant.
