Ridge Valley is located northwest of Sellersville, Pennsylvania. It has a small population despite being between two major urban centers. One of the reasons for its low population is the boulders. Ridge Valley has never had a large population. When people wanted to move here long ago, they wanted to build farms. There were so many boulders that there wasn't any use trying to move them. Here are pictures of some of the many boulders in Ridge Valley.
Pictured above are some of the many boulders. Another reason that Ridge Valley didn't grow was because of the swampy lands. When it rained the boulders wouldn't let the water seep through the ground. Therefore the grounds became very swampy and the people could not build on this land.
Above: Boulders prevented water from escaping and instead formed a swamp.
