The First Savings Bank building is located at 600 Market Street in Perkasie was built in 1956. This building and the others on the same block do not seem to fit with the architectural styles in this older section of the town. The block on which this building is located (along with Shelly & Sons) was part of a re-development project in town. Numerous Victorian Period buildings were torn down and replaced by the structures seen on this block today. The overhang roof design in front of the main entrance allows light to enter and provides some protection from the weather. |
