| Artifacts are objects made by human skill or work. Artifacts from the past can be studied by historians, archeologists, and ordinary people to tell us about the past. These artifacts can be buildings or their remains, cemetery stones, tools and common household objects, or written documents and letters. Each of these objects gives us clues about the past.
