FLOOD - BEFORE AND AFTER

The Perkasie Covered Bridge is normally located on dry land in Lenape Park . On the day of the flood, both the bridge and the ball fields, and most of Lenape Park were under water.    Here a similar view shows a small creek next to the ball field that is still relatively high the day after the flood.

This Perkasie sign advertises the upcoming Fall Festival in flooded Lenape Park.    Ball fields in both Perkasie and Sellersville were flooded and filled with debris.

Little League ball field in Perkasie.    Here is the same field two days after the flood. Clean up also involved replacing some of the fences.

The covered bridge Apartments located just off Walnut Street in Perkasie have experienced flooding many times.    Piles of debris (insulation and carpet) needed to be removed from the lower level of the apartment buildings.

Vehicles that were not moved from the Covered Bridge Apartment lots and neighboring lots for businesses were flooded.    Water in most cases reached the engine making the vehicles worth little after being flooded.
