PEDIATRICS | NURSERY |
A department of Pediatrics was organized by Dr. Paul T. Moyer in 1930. A well-baby clinic was started.
According to Dr. Charles Winn, "the first pediatrics unit had 3 cribs (as you see on the left). They would close the crib gate so that you wouldn't fall out. There were only 3 cribs because they couldn't afford any more. The nursery was used for heating bottles, housing babies, and storing clean sheets. The pediatric unit was for older children."
