Electrical conductors are any materials that offer little resistance to the flow of an electrical current. All materials conduct electricity to some extent. However, some are much better conductors than others.
Examples of good conductors are silver, copper, and graphite. In fact, most metals are good conductors. Conductors may have a conductivity of a billion or more times as great as the conductivity of a good insulator. |

An insulator is the opposite of a conductor; it is a poor conductor of electricity or heat (it offers more resistance to the flow of an electrical current). Some good insulators are glass, mica, and diamond.
