This section of the Perkasie web site explores how the same building, structure, location, or organization has changed over time. In the case of the Perk, the building has served a similar purpose over time as a restaurant, bar, and/or hotel. The Union Hotel has been torn down and replaced by the new Shelly's & Fenstermacher building and a parking lot as part of a redevelopment project. The congregation of the United Methodist Church started in South Perkasie and later moved to its present 5th & Market Street location. The Perkasie Covered Bridge was moved to Lenape Park and a new bridge was put in its place in South Perkasie. The Metal Health Gym was previously a 5 & 10 retail store and for many years was a pharmacy. The Opera House was a performing arts center and later a factory. The Plaza Theater was used for movies and other performances and later was used for a supermarket and other businesses.
