PERKASIE ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT

The Perkasie Borough Electric Department maintains the system with two bucket trucks, a digger derrick, and three pick-up trucks.

The two bucket trucks are used to repair lines and electric components that need to be repaired or replaced in high places.    Outriggers are used to stabilize the trucks. With this extra support, trucks can extend their equipment such as a bucket to a greater extension length.

The buckets on the bucket trucks are lifted by hydraulics. Hydraulics use fluid pressures in cylinders to create forces to lift the bucket.    Pick up truck with department seal on side door. The pick up trucks are used to carry supplies and for meter reading operations.
