MEASURING ELECTRICAL CURRENT |
What is Electrical Current ?Electrical current is the flow of electricity through wires. Electrical currents are measured in amperes (amps). One ampere is just about the amount of current that flows through a 100 watt bulb when it is turned on. |

MEASURING AMPERES
AMMETER |
An ammeter is used to measure the amount of electric current. When electric current goes through the ammeter, the needle on the dial moves. The needle points to the number of amperes that are flowing through the ammeter. |
SOURCE AND LOAD
Electrical current comes from a source and is then sent to the load, which is what you are powering. The load can be a user of electricity - like a house, a television, etc. The electrical currents are sent to the load by electrical wires. The source is where all the electricity is coming from. The more the power that the load needs, the bigger the electrical current that you will have.
