COMMUNITY DAY

Community Day was originally started in 1972 for new Perkasie area residents to meet the people in the community, and have a day of fun and games. It has become a well attended community event. Community Day is held at Lake Lenape Park on the banks of the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek. Though community day is held in Perkasie, it an event organized for the entire Pennridge Community. Many community groups provide refreshments and assist with running the day's activities. Numerous performing artists are also featured during the day. An estimated 10,000 people have attended the one day event during recent years.

This is a picture of the canoe races that are one of the activities people participate in at Community Day.   Community members bring their own lawn chairs to watch the Quakertown Band perform.
