   Menlo Park -Today

Here is the first in ground swimming pool at Menlo which was built in 1939.    The in-ground swimming pool is the central attraction of the park today.

The diving area has changed numerous times and today features low dives.   A kiddie pool for non-swimmers and toddlers features a fountain in the center.

A recently completed entryway to the pool provides shelter for pool patrons.    A refreshment stand has been a feature of the modern bathhouse since it first opened.

Menlo Pool is the main attraction of Menlo Park today. A variety of swimming activities are available like swimming lessons. They have water walking and they even offer a Red Cross Certified life-guard course. You can even have a private party at Menlo Pool! They also have a refreshment area at the new bathhouse building (the old bathhouse was located on the library side of the pool area).

Menlo Park today has a lot of activities available to the community. They have summer concerts and they are free of charge. They have a lot of different programs in the park such as craft classes, group tennis lessons, sand volleyball, tether ball, and table tennis. The goal of the park and recreation board of the Borough of Perkasie is to continue to provide activities and programs useful to the community and to expand the park system when possible. One remaining ride of the old amusement park is the Perkasie Carousel. It is run by the Perkasie Historical Society and is open on special weekend days from May to November each year.
